Daniel – When??
This week we’re continuing our series in Daniel, exploring what is involved in being Jesus’ disciples today. We will be looking at Daniels prayer and how to deepen our own prayer life.
The reading will be from Daniel 12
Song: One thing remains
When we’re facing situations of fear or confusion, there are sometimes scriptures that come to us or are brought to us. Here are some that have helped or brought fresh hope. Do you have any?
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5)
‘Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
The wild animals honour me,
the jackals and the owls,
because I provide water in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,
the people I formed for myself
that they may proclaim my praise. (Isaiah 43:18-21)
But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. (John 16:7)
For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Sermon
Song: Build your Kingdom here
‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (Matthew 6:25-27)
