Redemption

This week we’ll be continuing in our series, looking at the book of Ruth – Loving Kindness in Action.

This week we’ll be looking at ‘Redemption’ – Through Him, we have been redeemed.

The reading will be Ruth 4:1-12

Song: Praise Him, praise Him

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. 1 Peter 1:18-21

Song: Behold the Lamb

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

Song: Redeemed

I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;
I myself will see him
with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me! Job 19:25-27

Song: Glorious Day
