Sunday 17th January

I believe Jesus is God

This week we’ll be continuing our series, looking at ‘The Creed’. It’s good to stop and remind ourselves what we believe, and the creed sets out the core truths of Christianity – the beliefs that, above all else, should shape the way we live our lives as God’s people.

This week’s creed statement is:

I believe in Jesus Christ, [God’s] only Son, our Lord.

Song: Behold our God

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-5)

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
