Friday 3rd July – The Lost Sheep

Read the story in the Bible. It can be found in Luke chapter 15 verses 1-10 (Luke 15:1-10).

Watch the story here:

Here’s the story as a song:

Why don’t you play hide and seek with others in your family, or you could hide a small toy and get them to try and find it.

Activity (some baaaa-king)

Here is a recipe to make some sheep cookies.

  • Plain flour
  • Caster sugar
  • Butter/margarine
  • Cocoa powder

You need to make one batch of plain dough and one of chocolate.

This is for the plain:

75g Plain flour
25g Caster sugar
50g Butter/margarine

Put all ingredients in a bowl and rub it using your hands until it comes together into a ball.

Do the same with:

65g Plain flour
10g Cocoa powder
25g Caster sugar
50g Butter/margarine

If it feels sticky add a little more flour.

To make your sheep, make a small ball with one bit of dough and a bigger ball with the other dough.

Use your hand to flatten them out.

Put the smaller one on top to make the body and head.

Add ears and feet.

Put them on a baking tray.

Cook in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
