Friday 22nd May – Moses
The story of Moses being rescued from the basket on the river, shows us that God is always looking after us. God had lots of plans for Moses life, just as he has plans for ours. We might not always understand why things happen, but we know we can trust in God he is always with us.
If you want to read it for yourself, it can be found in Exodus chapter 1, verse 8 to chapter 2, verse 10 (Exodus 1:8-2:10)
Have a go at making a simple Moses craft. Feel free to use different materials if you want to. For example, if you have coloured card at home you could use that.
I am sure you will be able to be much more creative than ours!
Send us a picture of how you get on, and we’ll add them to the bottom of this page.
Find a cardboard box, and open it up
Draw half a circle for the basket, and some tufts of grass
Draw a baby
Draw another half circle – but bigger. This will be the background, which is water.
Colour everything in, and cut out
Glue the baby and some of the grass onto the blue background
Glue the basket over the top, and add the rest of the grass
Stick some string or ribbon onto the back, so you can hang your picture up
Take a photo (if you want to) of your finished picture and send it to us, and we’ll add them at the bottom of this page (they won’t appear straight away – I’ll add them later in the day).
Here’s some pictures we’ve received so far:
